Lesson 1 – Editorial French Pleat

First up, Callam Warrington shows you how to create curl and volume with the French pleat. You’ll fine-tune your back combing and brushing techniques – and cover setting, tonging, creating barrel curls and blow drying. The end result A classic French pleat with a modern shape and finish, delivering an elegant look for any formal occasion that your clients will adore.

Lesson 2 – Wave Forms

In lesson 2, Michel Zeytoun demonstrates a glamorous prom up-do (also popular with brides), guaranteed to impress your client on her special day. Creating a beautiful waved form using large session needles over the top of a chignon base, the organic flowing wave pattern is timeless and graceful. Plus, with pointers on everything from product use to blow drying, the tutorial is packed with useful info.

Lesson 3 – Rope Braid using Modern Tong Technique

At MHDPro, we’re huge fans of Stelios Chondros. And you will be too after lesson 3, where he demonstrates a modern tong technique to prepare for a timeless rope braid with a ribbon accessory.  Beautiful and elegant, this dressing for long hair can be tweaked to complement prom dresses and accessories. A brilliant one to enhance your repertoire for the long term.

Lesson 4 – Front Bun with a Chignon Base

Australian hairdressing legend Sharon Blain steps up for the penultimate lesson to teach you how to create a sculptured front bun on a chignon base. Building on your blow drying, hand positioning, ponytail creation and placement skills, this is a classic technique that – once mastered – you’ll never forget. A must have to keep all those wannabe prom queen clients happy!

Lesson 5 – French Roll

Our final lesson is all about the classic French roll. With insight on preparation – as well as advice on adding volume and placement of shape, scalp braids and finish – Sharon Blain’s tutorial is designed to empower you to master everything from adding barrel curls to French plaiting, blow drying, plaiting and setting hair. The perfect finish to our prom course.
